The CMT (Chartered Market Technician) is the leading international designation in technical analysis. It gives learners a structured foundation for reading price trends and market sentiment and for making trading decisions systematically.

CMT Level 1 course: the foundations of technical analysis
The CMT Level 1 course has 27 sessions of theory, review and mock exams, plus 2 Applied CMT sessions on applying what you learn to real trading.
The course runs from the history of technical analysis, Dow Theory, chart reading, trend analysis, chart patterns and Japanese candlesticks to the core technical indicators, statistics, behavioral finance, market sentiment and cycle analysis, and on to comparing markets (stocks, indices, bonds, derivatives, forex, digital assets, options) and professional ethics under the CMT standard.
CMT Level 2 course: applied technical analysis
The CMT Level 2 course has 24 sessions and builds deeper analytical skills, with topics such as alpha/beta analysis, combining technical analysis with other methods (Fusion Analysis), market bubbles, Market Profile, advanced candlestick and point-and-figure analysis, volatility analysis, momentum indicators, VWAP, Bollinger Bands in practice, cycle and Elliott Wave analysis, and systematic and quantitative trading methods.
CMT Level 3 course: building a trading system and managing a portfolio
The CMT Level 3 course has 24 sessions and applies technical analysis at a strategic level: risk management, classic chart patterns and advanced candlesticks, anchored VWAP, volatility indices, advanced Relative Rotation Graphs, backtesting statistics, building a disciplined trading system, position management and, above all, portfolio management, combining technical analysis with fundamental analysis and crowd psychology.

A structured CMT course, real-world application
A programme designed for both students and working professionals
The course fits into 03 months (02 sessions a week), focused on evenings and weekends to suit students with busy work and study schedules. Studying online lets you choose when and where you learn.
CMT-standard knowledge
The curriculum and exam prep materials are written by Green Chart from the official CMT (Chartered Market Technician) curriculum. The lecturer is a CMT Charterholder with many years of experience as a professional trader and trading strategy adviser at banks, brokerage firms and commodity firms.
Applied to real trading
Alongside the programme, Green Chart runs extra sessions called “Applied CMT” that show students how to apply what they learn in the CMT programme to real analysis and trading in markets such as stocks, forex, commodities and crypto.
Retake the course for free
Former students can retake the course completely free of charge, with no time limit, until they pass — as long as Green Chart is still running the class. To retake, simply show that you have registered for (or re-registered for) the next exam with the CMT Association.

Is technical analysis hard to learn? Can I start trading right after the course?
With 12 years of trading and more than 07 years of teaching trading, we have seen that a beginner can absolutely learn to trade and achieve steady profits in the market.
However, besides learning the right knowledge, it takes a serious attitude to practice and a long enough period of experience — at least 06 months to 1 years, and often much longer — depending on how quickly and how seriously each person learns.
I have no background in finance. Can I still take the course?
The course uses plain language and avoids unnecessary financial jargon, so it suits learners from any background. In fact, our students come from many fields with little connection to finance or economics, such as IT engineers, pharmacists, teachers and TV presenters.
After Level 1, are there Level 2 and Level 3 courses to continue with?
Green Chart is currently the FIRST and ONLY provider in Vietnam offering the complete set of CMT exam prep courses for Level 1-2-3. The CMT Level 2 course has a special tuition fee for students who took the Level 1 course at Green Chart.
My English is weak. Can I still take the course?
The course is taught in Vietnamese, but the content and exam prep materials are presented in English so that students get used to the real exam. The course therefore suits both students who want trading knowledge and those preparing for the exam.
Currently, CMT Level 1 and 2 exam questions are multiple choice, so they only require basic English reading skills (around TOEIC 500); listening and writing skills are not required.
